3 Memories – Good Ones!

Henry and Montague, Brooklyn Heights

One of my recent clients is a New York children’s enrichment center.  I recently had the pleasure of a “walk through” of the New York Kids Club’s 8,000 sq foot Brooklyn Heights location scheduled to open on April 14th.  I went to the facility to get a feel for the space, the neighborhood and to see their vision coming into being.

Seeing the physical location and the progress got me thinking.  Walking around the facility, a flood of memories came to me. Good ones.

1. The aroma of saw dust and the sounds of the carpenters took me back to a good place – my dad’s furniture factory that I used to visit when I was a kid

2. The excitement I felt as milestones were met during the renovation of our apartment

3. And the possibilities of discovery offered by a new neighborhood
