Red…Bull, Red…Bull, RedBull and a great Father-Son Experience

How would you like to have 20,000 fans screaming your product’s name multiple times, supported by your name plastered all over the stadium and on the players shirts and on the T-Shirts handed out at the game, and having your name on every media channel reporting on the game?  Sounds like a sponsor’s dream opportunity.

That is exactly what happened on Saturday night at the NY RedBulls soccer game at Giants Stadium as the one side of the Stadium screamed out:  RED…. and the other side of the stadium responded …BULLS!.

Red….. Bulls   Red…… Bulls   Red…….. Bulls and on and on it went.

“This is fun Dad” said my 7 year old between screams of  “BULLS!”.  “I think we are shouting louder than the other side.  Red…. BULLS!  Red… BULLS!”

Me: (After the umpteenth BULLS! in my ear): “I get it – you don’t have to shout.”

And with a smile as big as the sponsors he said: “C’mon Dad its fun – Red…. BULLS!  Red…. BULLS!

And there I was screaming with my 7 year old and 20,000 other fans. And the Redbulls won an exciting game.

On the way home, my son asked me: “Dad, Do you know what RedBull taste like?”

“No, I have not tried it.”

“You should try it.  Maybe you’ll like it.”

Maybe I will.

Gary, if I know you (and I think I do) you WON’T like it. And you have enough energy already–the caffeine would send you over the top! I’d like to suggest that when you DO try your first RedBull, that you share the experience with the kid…but I won’t (since I also know yer kids, and don’t want your amazing apartment destroyed by a wild-child!) :)
The excitement of the games IS a blast (regardless of who is sponsoring them), and to share it with the kids, is so sweet. Thanks for sharing your story.

Maybe they have a decaf version – lol. It really was cool. Kids – they say the darnedest things!

Leave it to a kid to really tell it like it is… You really don’t need Red Bull. I used to drink it to stay awake because of the caffeine. Wouldn’t let my kids have any…they would be like wind up toys!! Sounds like you guys had a great day!
